At Skin Win Dermatology, we provide numerous types of chemical peels to give you optimal results. A chemical peel uses special solutions (such as salicylic, glycolic, trichloroacetic, and lactic acids) to help you achieve healthier, smoother skin. At our North Dakota and Kansas offices, our staff offers chemical peel treatments that address skin issues, such as wrinkles, fine lines, scars, uneven patches, hyperpigmentation, and more. Chemical peels remove damaged, dead skin cells by applying a specific treatment on the skin, which causes the top layer to slough off. When your skin recovers and starts to rejuvenate, you should see a smoother, clearer complexion.

We perform chemical peels in various strengths (light, medium, and deep) to fit our patients' skin needs and goals.

Light peels: You can receive a light chemical peel during your lunch break and get back to your day. This level of peel will remove the top skin layer, giving your complexion a brighter appearance and smoother texture. We typically suggest that you get a light peel at least once a month for glowing results.

Medium-depth peels: This strength of peel penetrates deeper into the skin, and you'll usually prefer to have this level of facial rejuvenation treatment during a long weekend. You may also want to ready yourself for increased discomfort during and about one hour after treatment. Medium-depth peels are good for treating more extensive skin concerns, such as deep wrinkles and pigmentation issues.

Deep peels: The most advanced of the three types of peels is the deep peel treatment, and it does require the lengthiest recovery time. This is an aggressive cosmetic treatment that may leave your face itchy, swollen, and peeling for several weeks. Patients who receive a deep chemical peel typically have age spots, sun damage, or pitted acne scars. Since this strength of chemical peel is typically uncomfortable for patients, your aesthetician can provide you with mild anesthesia prior to your procedure.

During your chemical peel procedure at Skin Win Dermatology, we will have you lying in a comfortable position to administer your peel. We will make sure the skin is cleaned before applying the personalized solution to your face, neck, or both. We will spread the solution onto your face and allow it to work for an appropriate length of time, which will be discussed in your treatment planning session. Finally, we will wash the peel off your skin and apply a neutralizing agent. Patients should bring light sunscreen and a hat to wear outside following the peel to avoid UV exposure.

I am so thrilled we have another dermatologist in Minot. Dr. Hoffman was very professional and friendly. He answered my questions and addressed my concerns. I HIGHLY recommend his services!

Went to SkinWin and saw Dr Hoffman and was so pleased with how quick I was able to get in, address my concerns and offered to look at any other concerns on my skin that I had. Very professional and reassuring. I’ll be going back. So glad I didn’t have to make an additional appointment to ask more questions.

Thank you so much!!! You helped our family in a time of need! We have been out of power for three days and skin win provided us a hotel for our three children & my husband to have a hot shower and be able to live “normal” for a few days! Thank you again!
